Current Regulation

13.3.1      Every protest shall be made in writing, and:

13.3.1.1      Specify which part(s) of these regulations, class regulations or event supplementary regulations are considered to have been violated and by whom.

13.3.1.2      Provide names of witnesses, if any.

13.3.1.3      Provide videotape evidence, if involved.

13.3.1.4      Be signed by the entrant or driver making the protest.

13.3.1.5      Accompanied by the appropriate protest fee payable to CACC. Such fee shall only be returned if the protest shall be deemed well founded or if so directed by the steward judging the protest.

13.3.1.6      Delivered to the steward within the time limit specified within these regulations.

Proposed Regulation

13.3.1      Every protest shall be made submitted online using the CACC Event Protest Form, and:

13.3.1.1      Specify which part(s) of these regulations, class regulations or event supplementary regulations are considered to have been violated and by whom.

13.3.1.2      Provide names of witnesses, if any.

13.3.1.3      Provide videotape evidence, if involved.

13.3.1.4      Be signed by the entrant or driver making the protest.

13.3.1.5      Accompanied by the appropriate protest fee payable to CACC by cash or e-transfer to treasurer@caccautosport.org. Such fee shall only be returned if the protest shall be deemed well founded or if so directed by the steward judging the protest.

13.3.1.6      Delivered to the steward or clerk of the course within the time limit specified within these regulations.

Reason for Rule Change

Stewards are not in typically attendance at autoslalom events. Using a centralized web-based form allows accurate protest tracking.
