Touge Events:

CACC sanctioned Touge events are run under the CACC Time Attack rules and CACC General Competition Rules and (if applicable) event supplementary regulations.

Touge events feature drivers in “head to head” races around a short course with the two drivers starting in staggered positions, with similarly staggered finish lines.

Passing is not allowed.

Cars start one in front of the other, so there is a lead car and a follow car. Both drivers start simultaneously. The first driver back to their finish line is the winner. If there is no clear winner, the cars may switch position and run again. Runs may continue until there is a clear winner.

Vehicles are classified by either the CACC Time Attack rule book or by event supplementary regulations.

Vehicles must pass the CACC Time Attack safety inspection.

Touge Event Operation:

If available, lap timing may be used for qualifications to set the grid pairings.

Practice and qualifying sessions may be held to give the drivers a chance to familiarize themselves with the track layout and for the organizers to arrange the match ups for the competition rounds.
Based on the classes and qualifying sessions, drivers will be paired up against each other in order of the fastest time vs the slowest time. This format also eliminates the desire to sandbag or purposely slow down.
Basically the slower you go, the faster your opponent will be.

Drivers will have a chance to be both in the lead and chase position.
In battle stages, the first driver to their finish line is the winner.
Drivers switch positions for the second round. In case both drivers win one round each, a third round may be run to get the final decision.
Competition run sessions will be an elimination ladder system until a final driver is determined winner in their class.

Overtaking will result in disqualification.

Passengers are not allowed.
