Type of Rule ChangeModification
Section to be Added or Changed20.12.1
Current Regulation

In car camera or video recording equipment is permitted provided the installation is approved by the scrutineers and subject to the provision that any photographic film or video recording made during the track session may be impounded by the Steward.

Proposed Regulation

In car camera or video recording equipment is permitted provided the installation is approved by the scrutineers or complies with the relevant discipline regulations. All recordings made while on course at a CACC-sanctioned event must be provided upon request in its original, unaltered format to the CACC Steward or representative.

Reason for Rule Change

1. No scrutineers are available in many disciplines
2. Regulations on cameras can vary by discipline (see SCCA) so prudent to defer to discipline regulations
3. "Track" reference excludes some disciplines. Reference to broader term "course" more appropriate
4. Many events do not have stewards. CACC representative allows other authorized evidence collection
