Proposed Regulation

All cars competing must have a forward-facing camera recording all time there on track. Recordings must be made available to the steward upon request.

Reason for Rule Change

With so much contact every weekend we should not be relying on just the turn workers and drives testimony.

Regulation as Amended and Published

Section 10.1.1 replaced. Impounding is covered in GCR 20.12.1

Previous wording:
10.1.1 In car camera or video recording equipment is permitted provided the installation is approved by the scrutineers and subject to the provision that any photographic film or video recording made during the track session may be impounded by the Steward.

New wording:
10.1.1 All vehicles participating in any CACC-sanctioned race event must have a securely mounted forward-facing camera that poses no visual or physical obstruction to the driver. The camera must record a clear horizontal forward view whenever on track.
